Kids Bedroom Design — Where Subtle Colors Meet Smart Functionality

primarDesigning a kid’s bedroom is always about finding the right balance — between playfulness and calm, between vibrant creativity and everyday comfort. For this project, I wanted to create a space that feels timeless yet warm, blending soothing colours with practical details that grow with the child.

The bed instantly sets the tone for the room with its hexagonal beehive pattern quilting, beautifully crafted in alternate shades of green, grey, and black. This geometric texture adds depth and personality, while the muted palette keeps it elegant and gender-neutral.

Keeping the visual harmony intact, the wardrobe design was kept intentionally subtle and sophisticated. I chose sage green laminate as the primary finish. It’s a calm, earthy tone that pairs effortlessly with off-white and wooden textures. Final result is a modern, understated look that feels soothing rather than loud — perfect for a child’s everyday environment.

The study table continues the same design language — minimal, functional, and uncluttered. I opted for a white and wooden colour combination to maintain a sense of continuity and lightness. My primary goal was to thoughtfully utilise every inch of the setup. I added extra wall cabinets above for additional storage — a must-have in kids’ rooms where organisation can be a challenge.
